Amiga came to the carbon neutral service after receiving enquiries from potential customers about their carbon neutral status.
The CNS was able to provide a rapid assessment of the current carbon footprint of Amiga's staff, offices and vehicles, followed by a clear-cut plan for compliance with the latest energy efficiency advice. A small offset fund was also established, which we expect to grow steadily until Amiga achieve effective carbon neutrality.
Follow up interviews suggest that Amiga has already experienced the following benefits;
- an increase in enquiries from local short run advertising, as customers are increasingly eco-savvy,
- an enhanced working environment, due to improved staff moral, as they can now claim to be part of the solution to this potential global problem,
- and actual collateral savings in costs, due to improved purchasing efficiency and the availability of government grants towards material improvement of company buildings.
